Gr. 7 Playing Test #3 For our second playing test, you will be recording yourself play number 61 from the red book. For this piece, you will be assessed on your pitches, rhythms, steady pulse, tone (quality of your sound), and articulation (separation and pronunciation of rhythms and notes)!
Please take a look at the rubric below. *Percussion section: please choose the snare or mallet part for your video. You will be assessed on pitches (mallet part only), rhythms, steady pulse, and strokes (including rolls and flams). In your video, you must: 1. Identify the piece you are playing 2. Play the piece. Please ensure that your instrument is visible in the video. Once you have logged onto SeeSaw, please click on "Activities", then "Add Response" to post your video. Rubric: Playing Test Rubric:Gr. 7 Playing Test #1 due November 1 For our first playing test, you will be recording yourself play number 49 or 29 from the red book. Please try your best to play number 49. If you are brand new to your instrument this year and you feel that you aren't ready for it, you may choose to play number 29. You may choose to use SeeSaw to record yourself, or perform this assessment in person. Percussion section: please play number 49, you can choose to play either the snare or mallet part (or both if you wish). You may choose to use the equipment in the band room and perform this assessment in person. In your playing test/video you must: 1. Tell me the number that you have chosen. 2. First, CLAP AND COUNT the rhythm of the music. 3. Play the music On a scale of 1-4, you will be assessed on: 1. Pitches - have you performed all of the pitches accurately 2. Rhythms - have you performed all of the rhythms accurately 3.
